When heart and mind divides
the tore it makes in one’s soul
is unspeakable for the pain
it bears has no cure or relief
till an answer is won between the two

The safety of one’s home
is now a question
for this is a place where
monsters and demons roam

And no love nor warmth can be found
where is one to go in the
night of day besides stay
and suffer in this small space

What do you see
when you set your eyes on me?
Do you see me at all
because the coldness I feel
is as if you look right through me
as if I am nothing more than
a burden with no potential whatsoever

A question left unspoken
is kept caged in my head
like a beast who is
always hungry but never satisfied
